The soft landing for the day’s hard things
A place for hiding away for a bit
I will be

A place to rest and be
The tender touch for life’s harsh realities
A place for restoring hope
I will be

A place to release your worries
The sacred holder for ordinary and unique
A place for sharing the weight
I will be

A place to discover possibilities
The shared hope for all that love is
A place for dreaming tomorrows into life
I will be

A place to find heartfelt connection
The space between two souls
A place for love unlike any other

Hot as a fever
A first time feeling
Desire unlike another
You

Consumed by wanting
Come as you are
From deep within
You

Feel it all
Be every tremor
Break-free over and over
You

How to want
Taste it all
Just for tonight
You

Quench an unending thirst
Yet fan the flame
As needs rise and fall
You

A rise, a moan
On fire from within
A repeated need
You

Who are you really

Still not know
A question
Still lingers and remains
We connected

How long unknown
A question
Who do you want
We connected

A longing, a wanting
A question
Longing for more
We connected

Connect to live.

WAITING TO UNVEIL

Take all of me
Or let me be
As different as I am
My worth is just as valuable

Take all of me

Be intrigued by me
Sit and listen for a while

Allow my light to shine
Welcome its glow

Help me to reveal even more
Build me up, do not tear me down

Take all of me

Seek to discover
All of my closely held treasures

For these things I’m waiting to unveil.

LOVE SPOKEN

Gratitude catches my breath
As my eyes open for the day
Lying still to remember
And hold it all so still

So perfectly here and now
A sweet moment in time
A feeling to etch within
Settling in and anchoring down

Leaning into this for now
Treasures to behold
Thank you’s so deep
A path to follow

Holding steady
With a heart wide open
Filled to overflowing
Reminders of life’s goodness

Trust sweeps its way in
Held steady with faith
Through the sun and rain
Love spoken and heard deeply

HOW TO BE HEARD

It seems impossible
To convey thoughts and feelings
So much left unheard
How to be heard

State your cause
Give your reason
Be direct and speak your need
How to be heard

It’s not me
Not who I am
And that seems to be insufficient
How to be heard

Unable to give voice
When direct calling feels so harsh
Finding a voice that shakes in hiding
How to be heard

Whispers unnoticed
Softness unimportant
Yet beneath the surface lies a vulnerable heart
Wondering …. how to be heard.

A place to no longer hide
This place I once ran from
Unknown and unwanted
If my heart had windows

A quench
A thirst never realized
Until now, until that heart
If my heart had windows

A place to rest
To unwind and simply be
Never been before

Sure to be revealed
Clear and smooth
A beauty unearthed

A longing spoken
Wanted words
A desired touch

Familiar comfort
A place within
A place that’s always been

UP AND DOWN, INSIDE AND OUT

The swells rise and fall in tune with the wind
This time I can sense
A force coming
Up and down, inside and out

As time passes and silence grows
My mind wanders
A worry
Up and down, inside and out

Not sure what will be revealed
For talk is cheap
If it is spoken at all
Up and down, inside and out

Consumption of the self outweighs curiosity of another
A renewed loneliness
A reflect of past times
Up and down, inside and out

Oh to hear of inquisitiveness
To feel desire
To know unwavering reverence
Up and down, inside and out

A mountain to climb
With a landslide looming
Another season breathers change while doubt’s group gathers strength

EYES OF BLUE, HEART OF GOLD

Sometimes life plays
A time when one has no choice but to participate
An unknowing
A losing game

Time continues on
Regrets remain
And life refuses to stop
Participation is necessary

Yet memories invade
And time seems to stand still
Regrets plentiful
And still … no way to repair

Apologies never find their way home
Still they remain
Like a smoldering fire
Quietly waiting to be expressed

Only a whisper
A slightly open door
Is all it would take
A time to speak the unspoken

A forgiveness never to come
I must go on
A heart that calls to me today
A heart that has this thing

It’s magic
Eyes of blue and heart of gold
This thing
Has helped to heal what was left gaping

Eyes open

A chill in the air
A wish for human touch
To warm what runs so cold

Contemplation seeks control
A wonder, a guessing
Of what may come
For everything seems … unknown

Craving connection
Desire for community seeps forth
A wholeness not yet found
For everything seems … unknown

A closeness like the womb
Enveloped to be nurtured
To be carried with love
For everything seems … unknown
